Bryant Elementary Library Volunteer Opportunity for MLIS Students

We would like to welcome MLIS volunteers to gain hands-on library experience by performing the following tasks under the supervision of our school librarian:

Check out books to students, shelve books
Pull books related to curriculum requests made by teachers
Create monthly theme orientated book displays
Organize/coordinate student book logs and awards
Perform on-line background research for classroom literature circle books.

Library Volunteer Opportunity Days/Times:
Monday 1:50-3:30 p.m.         3rd grade classes
Tuesday 12:30-3:30 p.m.     K, 1st and 4th grade classes
Wednesday 12:30-3:30 p.m. K, 1st and 5th grades classes
Thursday 1-3:30 p.m.            K, 1st and 5th grades classes

All volunteers attend a 1 hour orientation at Bryant and complete a background check before volunteering.
We are conveniently located a short distance from UW and easily reached by #65, #71 and #74 buses.
