All iSchool Orientation

Time: 1:00-2:30 pm
Location: Johnson Hall 102

Check-in begins at 1:00 pm, and orientation begins at 1:30 pm.  The All iSchool Orientation is the Information School’s official welcome event for all incoming Informatics, MLIS, MSIM, and PhD students.

All iSchool Fair

Time: 2:30-4:00 pm
Location: Suzzallo Library Cafe, Room 101
Sponsored by Student Services
Immediately following the Orientation, come join us for the All iSchool Fair, featuring a number of iSchool student groups.  It is a great oppoprtunity to mingle with current students and faculty.

Are you interested in working in a K-12 public school library? Attend this session for more information on how to obtain the School Library Media certificate program while completing your MLIS degree. This session may also benefit those interested in children’s/youth services in general.

iYouth Pizza Party & Book Swap

iYouth is sponsoring a pizza party and book swap for anyone interested in being involved with the group aimed at supporting children and teen librarianship.  Bring any used or new children’s/teen book and trade for another book!  Meet the officers and get involved.

We’ve also scheduled the iYouth Scrabble event for Wednesday, October 20 at 5:30 pm (location TBD but probably in MGH 420).
